General metal works has been in operation for the last 25 years, dating back to the 1987's in which it kicked-off it's limited service working on steel and wrought ironat the time in a confined private garage. Progressing along the years, in which it relocated it's premises to a commercial space suiting it's services better. GeneralMetalWorks kept building-on, improving older techniques whilst adopting newer technologies at a gain towards quality especially with the introduction of stainless steel . Stainless Steel works in Malta at general metal works Zabbar started operating originally at around 1996, it's main objective at the time was to offer blacksmith service to its locals. Services were quite limited and constraint at the time due to the available technology and lack of machinery. This sustained the skill within the metal fabrication trade, which accommodates for flawless technology adoption along the years in casting, fabrication, processing and finishing of metal, steel, wrought iron and stainless steel.
Current services offered by GMW range as follows: hand railings, windows, gates, balconies, sky-lights, staircases, boat carriers, stainless steel works, ornamental products, chimneys, catering equipment eg hoods(stainless steel), metal repairs, and more.

Strong relationship has been founded with the Big Bon group upon taking multiple projects through the past decade. This extends to the numerous outlets and brand-names under which the company operates, with the majority having the general metal works signature through metal products eg shelvings, doors, staircases etc.
